2 Srinivasa Ramanujuan Background Born on December 22, 1887 and died on April 26, 1920. Ramanujuan was born in Erode, Tamil Nadu state, India. Mr. Raman was an Indian mathematician who taught himself mathematics. Mr. Raman contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions.

5 My Opinion about my Mathematician. I like my mathematician because we learned about the number theory which is on the pssa. Also some fractions was on there to which Mr. Raman worked on. I don’t think my mathematician is overrated because we used his skills on the pssa.

6 Early Life When Mr. Raman was in high school he won academic prizes for being top student. Also when he was sixteen he obtained a book titled A Synopsis of Elementary Results in Pure and Applied Mathematics. The book was simply a result of thousand of mathematical result.

8 College life Mr. Raman drop out of college because his family was poor. He lived off of friends, and mathematical discoveries in his notebook to help him finish school. Mr. Raman was named a research scholar at the University of Madras.
