3 Oct. 12, 2004IHE PDI Demo Marketing2 Portable Data for Imaging IP The Portable Data for Imaging Integration Profile specifies actors and transactions that allow users to distribute imaging related information on interchange media. The intent of this profile is to provide the reliable interchange of evidence objects and diagnostic reports for import, display or print by a receiving actor. A single physical transport means is specified that supports the multiple usage scenarios described in this profile. The CD format was chosen for supporting the described use cases.

4 Oct. 12, 2004IHE PDI Demo Marketing3 Portable Data for Imaging IP Portable Media Creator – assembles the content of the media and writes it to the physical medium. Portable Media Importer – reads the DICOM information (DICOM FSR) contained on the media. This system provides the user the ability to select a set of DICOM instances and reconcile key patient and study attributes (when necessary) to facilitate inclusion of the imported data in the local information system(s). Display – view "web-viewable" diagnostics and therapeutic imaging information on interchange media.
