2. Class 30 students 5 chaperons 1 teacher 6 children in each group Linden Community Schools Right now we are learning about, the arctic and the animals that call the arctic home. We have been talking about the problems that we are facing with the glaciers melting. The Toledo zoo has a great tour of the arctic and a handful of lesson on this topic.

3. About “The Toledo Zoo Education Department programs feature fun, hands-on learning for visitors of all ages and interests”. TOUR 1 - ENCOUNTERS OF THE COOLEST KIND: Exploring the Arctic Students will learn where this place called the Arctic is, what it is like there, and what animals (and people, too! ) need in order to survive there. Learn what an inuksuk is, meet seals and polar bears and see a few of their adaptations first-hand. Your students will leave with new insights into what this white world is like and why it is so important that we help save it!

4. Schedule Arrive at 10:30 10:30-11:30- Tour 11:30-12:15 – Lunch 12:15-3:00- Explore the zoo. 3:30-5- Bus back home.

5. When? Friday April 5th Leaving the school at 9:00 am, be there at 8:40am Arriving back at the school at 5:00pm

6. Where The Toledo Zoo In Toledo Ohio Distance: 97.9 miles, 1 hour and 32 min.

7. Transportation 8 hours+1 hr and 30 min= $312.00 total for gas and bus driver. 312/37= 8.43$ for bus

8. Cost Zoo: $9.00 Transportation: $8.43 Total: $9+8.42=17.42$ Tour cost=$25.00, I will pay this.

9. Lunches/Money Each child will need to bring their own sack lunches with a water bottle, and their own money to buy anything at the Zoo. We will have some snacks for the way back for each child and also a drink.
