1 WELCOME TO THE HEALTHCARE UPDATE FOR JANUARY 2006

2 Martin from Healthcare and wife Sally (Manager of Childcare) - proudly show off their lovely new baby Sarah – who was born on 10 th November 2005

3  Quinn’s families had a very good holiday in HK in Jan 2006. How lovely and happy they are.

4 Joy   Joy,9 months little girl,was brought to us with acute tracheobronchitis on Jan 1,2006.   After 4 days care in the Health Services Centre,Joy went home to the Hope Heaven with a lovely smile.

5 Luke was brought to us with acute bronchitis on Jan 9,2006. After 4 days care in the Health Services Centre, Luke went home to the Hope Heaven. and his lip cleft (left side) need to be healed in the near future. and his lip cleft (left side) need to be healed in the near future.

6 TREATMENT  He Jian Ling,15 years old girl (middle),came to HSC with a serious hands and feet tinea on Jan 12, 2006. We provided her some medicines after our doctor’s diagnosis.

7 Eddie (An Da Wei),7 months boy, was suffering bronchi reflection when he was brought to the Health Services Centre in 12 th Jan.  After 5 days careful treatment, Eddie went home to the Hephzibah orphanage.

8 Shaun Shaun (An xiao wei ) was brought to us with an upper respiratory infection – possibly asthma. After 5 days care in the Health Services Centre, Shaun went home to Hephzibah orphanage. This bright little 5 months child will also soon have an operation to repair his cleft lip, which will restore his feeding abilities, enhance speech learning and normalise his appearance. This work is all about …….. Restoration

9 XingXing, 8 years old orphan, who was taken care of by a Chinese family, came to the HSC looking for medical attention. We are very glad to serve him.

10 THANKS Some friends appreciate much our services in HSC, and they also help and support us in many ways.

11 Thanks to Mr. Laurie Sanders for his gift – a Digital Camera  His donation will support us by making our patient’s record- identification of personal documentation with photograph, surgical and promoting our work in China –welfare and community.

12 LEON A big welcome to Leon who is assisting Healthcare with its International Communications role until a full time person can be found. Leon will bring his management and creative skills to produce the monthly updates and attend to liaison with overseas teams, visitors and other healthcare work. Leon’s arrival is very timely with Laurie’s return home to New Zealand on Feb 16 th and the handing-over process is well under way. Please note: A permanent International Communications Officer is still being sought as at this date. It is a fulfilling and creative role. Thank you Leon for agreeing to help us out here.

13 Healthcare thanks you for your ongoing support.  Current needs are: There is a great need amongst the staff and children for basic dental hygiene training in addition to treatment. Necessary equipment, space, time and opportunity all need to come together for this very valuable health care to be provided.
