2. Opole Lubelskie Opole Lubelskie is a small town in the east of Poland. There are less than 10,000 inhabitants. Total area is about 15 square kilometers. Opole Lubelskie received city rights in 1413. It is famous for its baroque church, the classical palace and food factory (delicious candies).

5. This is Oskar Kolberg. He was a Polish ethnographer, folklorist and composer. He is a patron of our school.

8. POWISLOKI

9. POWISLOKI is a Children’s Folk Dance Group that works in Zespó ł Szkó ł Nr 2 in Opole Lubelskie. It was established in 1982. Both, children learning in primary school and lower secondary school are members of the group. Currently, there are two groups of Powi ś loki. The band has been passing on cultural heritage through music, songs and dance at home as well as abroad for about 30 years. It took part in many county and regional reviews of folk groups. It won a lot of prizes and awards. It performed in Poland and abroad. POWI Ś LOKI visited Soviet Union in 1994, France, Hungary, Czech Republic, the United States, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania, Austria, Slovakia, Italy and Turkey. Recently, groups from different countries for example Hungary, Czech Republic, Turkey, Italy and Romania have accepted an invitation from POWI Ś LOKI and visited our town Opole Lubelskie.
