Problem Limited customizable options for people without digital media players  Beeping  Buzzing  Radio Conventional clocks develop inaccuracies over long periods of time

Solution A device that combines the functionality of an atomic clock, an alarm clock, and a portable media docking station without the need for a portable media player.

Constraints

Technical Constraints Name Description Audio QualityMusic must be played at a sample rate of 44.1 kHz Audio Compatibility The Music Alarm Clock must be able to play audio files that are widely used in order to be compatible with users existing audio libraries. Storage CapacityThe storage device must be able to store 30 minutes worth of audio files. Time Accuracy The clock must be able to keep time accurately using the atomic signal. Display Characteristics The display must be readable in all lighting conditions from across the room.

Practical Constraints Sustainability - Durability Sustainability - Durability  The Music Alarm Clock must be able to withstand mistreatment by the user. Social - Compatibility Social - Compatibility  The removable storage device must be compatible with current operating systems and hardware in PCs.
