4. Wearing goggles place one level teaspoon of baking soda in each balloon. You may want to use a funnel to help you. Rinse and dry the teaspoon Label the flasks 1,4,7,10 Place 1 teaspoon of vinegar in flask 1, 4 in flask 4 and so on Place a balloon over the top of container 1. Turn the balloon over so that all the baking soda drops into the flask. Swirl the container. What happens to the balloon Repeat step 5 with each of the flasks. Remember to make a note of anything you see, hear, smell, feel etc

5. Questions Did any of the balloons inflate? Did they all inflate the same amount? Is there a relationship between the volume of gas produced and the volume of ethanoic acid used? What volume of vinegar will no longer inflate the balloon?

6. Is there a limit to the volume of gas that can be produced from one teaspoon of baking soda? Why does adding more of one reactant not increase the quantity of products produced? Which of the two reactants is left in ; Flask 1 Flask 2 Flask 3 Flask 4 So which reactant in each flask was the limiting reactant?
