2  Objectives:  The students will 1. Understand the options on the Printer's Document Properties dialog box. 2. Know how to print slides and handouts.

3  Get to the print dialog by clicking the file menu and selecting Print  Which printer?  Printer Properties  Paper orientation  Print quality  Media - plain paper, transparency, card stock etc.  Media size  Color, gray scale or black and white  Advanced features - depends on the printer

4  Which slides - current slide, all, selection, a range, a custom show  # of copies  What to Print  Which layout  Slides  Handouts  Notes  Outline

5  To print a presentation you have to choose a page layout. PowerPoint has several different layouts for printing your slides:  Slides  Handouts - 1 to 9 slides per page  Choices are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 9  Notes Pages  Outline

6  Slides  Handout  1 per page  2 per page  3 per page  4 per page  6 per page

7  Handout  9 per page  Notes Pages One slide per page with its Notes  Outline

8  Many ways to print out a presentation  The choice depends on the readability of the slides in smaller print and the intended use of the handouts.

9  Open HW5-3  Add a slide to the end of the presentation with a bullet list of:  Name  Period  Date  Print out HW5-3  Print as handouts  6 per page  Mavis Beacon
