4 OBJECTIVES Offering citizens quality services. Creating only one card for all the municipal services. Improving our services. Developing new services. Integrating our applications.

5 STARTING POINT The idea started 1999. Agreements with Banking Entities. Disadvantages: Incompatibility of some applications. Coordination among all the companies involved. Similar experiences developed in other cities. Gijon became part of an European-level working group called “Smart Cities”.

6 KEY FEATURES (I) “Contactless” Card MiFare©  Easier to use  Faster paying system  Less wear and tear  Less Maintenance Municipally-Owned  Open to new developments.  Does not have any type of commission.  Bank account not required.

7 KEY FEATURES (II) Personal & non-transferable Personalization: Photo, First Name, Surnames, Number CC, Issue Date Contactless chip inside

8 HOW TO APPLY FOR IT ? Form and Photo. The Card is free. The Card does not expire. The card is ready immediately for user. Children and citizens not registered on the municipal census. A company can apply for it.
