2 Passover signified the Lamb, deliverance & redemption The Lord’s Supper has the Lamb, deliverance & redemption The Lord commanded us to observe it often The Bible shows how/when/why the church obeyed Him It was the focus of New Testament worship The Lord assembles every week at His table with us This week we will highlight this feast He invites you to be part of the family for this feast

5 Pray as you prepare during the week Prepare some appropriate comments Focus on the cross and take us back to the cross The emphasis is on His death, not His resurrection It is not necessary to come up with a “new” idea Use your time and limited words wisely Leave the sermon to the sermon part of worship Incorporate Scriptures into your comments The prayers are prayers of thanksgiving

6 Prepare your heart even before you arrive Keep your thoughts focused on the cross Discern His body (1 Cor. 11:29) Examine yourself (1 Cor. 11:28) Overcome distractions by disciplining your thoughts Avoid being a distraction to others Do not view the Lord’s Supper as “dead time”
