8 Course Goals By the end of this course, students will be: More geoliterate more engaged in contemporary global issues more multicultural in their viewpoints. They should have developed skills in approaching problems geographically, using maps and geospatial technologies thinking critically about texts and graphic images Students should see geography as a discipline relevant to the world in which they live; as a source of ideas for identifying, clarifying, and solving problems at various scales Able to increase their global citizenship and environmental consciousness

9 AP Exam 2016 AP Exam Information The exam will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 (morning session). It is expected that all students who complete this course sign up and take the AP Human Geography Exam. There will be additional study sessions in April and May in preparation for the exam. These review sessions are optional, but strongly recommended for maximum success.

10 Ways that you can help… Encourage your student to read the news on a regular basis… it all ties into this class! Maps…. Maps everywhere. Students have an extra credit opportunity to get a world map for their room to always have reference to! Invest in review books
