6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Y OU REAP WHAT YOU SOW ! (6:7-8) Hebrews 12:10-11 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. 11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GROW WEARY ! (6:9)

9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GROW WEARY ! (6:9) Matthew 11:28-30 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

for in due season we will reap, 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GIVE UP ! (6:9)

for in due season we will reap, 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GIVE UP ! (6:9) Seize the Kairos moment!

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GIVE UP ! (6:9)

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GIVE UP ! (6:9) Hebrews 12:1-3 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. D ON ’ T GIVE UP ! (6:9) 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. E TERNAL P ERSPECTIVE (6:9) Matthew 9:37-38 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. E TERNAL P ERSPECTIVE (6:9) John 4:36-38 36 Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. 37 For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. E TERNAL P ERSPECTIVE (6:9) 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.

if we do not give up. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. E TERNAL P ERSPECTIVE (6:9) 1 Corinthians 4:1-5 1 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. 4 For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me. 5 Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. L ET ’ S DO GOOD ! (6:10)

10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Reflection Questions: 1.What kind of harvest do you want to reap personally? What kind of harvest do we want to reap together? 2.How are you sowing to the flesh? 3.How can you sow to the Spirit? 4.Have you grown weary? Are you on the brink of giving up? Persevere! Perhaps you’re on the cusp of something great! 5.Who do you have opportunity to do good to today? This week? L ET ’ S DO GOOD ! (6:10)
