DOH DEPLOYMENT PROGRAM
The Department of Health (DOH) Deployment Program is a composite of several human resources for health that aims to deploy, community-oriented and dedicated human resources for health to difficult areas. It utilizes a deployment approach designed for selected registered health professionals and grantees of DOH led scholarship programs. Notably, the program aims to achieve the following: Improve access to quality healthcare services; 2. Address the inequitable distribution of healthcare professionals and augment the need for human resources for health specially in rural, underserved, hardship communities; and 3. Increase the health workers’ employability through the provision of learning and development opportunities; Foster independence in the community’s health care delivery system; The DOH deploys among others, doctors, nurses , midwives, dentists and medical technologists through its component programs namely : Doctors to the Barrios Program (DTTBP) , Nurse Deployment Project (NDP) , Rural Health Midwives Placement Program (RHMPP), Medical Pool Placement and Utilization Program (MPPUP) and Rural Health Team Placement Program (RHTPP). hmc/cdmd/hhrdb/12-32 hmc/cdmd/hhrdb/11-19
