6 Markets Overview The markets for weekly and monthly magazines are dominated by the three biggest publishers,( Egmont, Aller and Bonnier) together they sell about 900.000 copies a week. A large numbers of small publishers are selling more specific magazines, such as Sports, Computer, Health, Technical, Subscription via Internet is not common in Denmark. Egmont On-line and Aller are selling subscriptions via internet, but are not doing anything to create consumer awareness. More than 1 mill. Magazines are sold in denmark every week

7 Access to Internet in Denmark 1 Mill. Families have access to Internet at home, which is every second family – 50 % Access is fast growing, from 1997 to 2000 the increase was 167.000 or 8 % 350.000 or 16% of all families have been buying on-line Two out of families have computer at home More than 2 mill. Computer in private homes 20% of all families have more than one computer at home 4 % of all families have more than 3 computers at home
