The unit was then vibrated and cycled in thermal vac. The unit just completed characterization testing and has only one remaining task, measurement of mass properties. We are nearing completion of the Acceptance Data Package and will be ready for the Pre-Ship Review scheduled for March 1. DD250s have been submitted to the NMO for both the IMA delivery and the upcoming ELS delivery. Latest project photos and videos are available on Aspera-3 web site.photosvideos

4 ASPERA-3 Feb. 25, 01 Monthly Status Report ASPERA Monthly Status ReportMonthly 2_25/ Page 4 Accomplishments of the Last Month -ELS We received the flight blackened parts from MSSL / Walton Plating. The parts looked very good. We inspected them and decided to use all of the parts from the latest batch. The parts were then vacuum baked out prior to assembly. The flight unit was assembled for flight and then vibrated to protoflight levels. Following vibration, a limited functional test was performed and the unit was then thermal vacuum cycled. Hot and cold starts were performed. The unit was left powered on after the cold start throughout the temperature transitions and plateaus. High voltage was set to the maximum level. Everything looked good. The unit was then removed from the thermal chamber and installed into the characterization chamber where the high voltage test was re-run followed by the full characterization test. We have completed the testing and are currently analyzing the data. The flight spare was reassembled and installed into the characterization chamber. High voltage testing was run prior to needing the GSE for the flight unit TVAC test. This week, the flight spare was reinstalled back into the characterization chamber (it was removed to perform characterization of the flight unit) for its final testing. This will be complete by Feb. 27.
