Find your foldable and your crayons. Take out a green crayon.
So far, we have the ones, tens, and hundreds place, they make up the ones period.
Then we have the thousands, ten thousands, and hundred thousands place. They make up the thousands period.
Now let’s add three more digits. In this next place, we’ll write *. Then *. Then *.
