To know God is to serve and worship him as absolute priority in our life. YouCat 352  Think about it!  Write in response:  Using complete sentences, write down 3 ways that someone who knows you could see on a daily basis that you love and worship God.

The First Commandment: Honoring God  Read together CCH pp. 390-394.  Vocabulary to learn:  Idolatry = To worship of other beings, creatures, or material goods in a way that is fitting for God alone.  Atheism = To deny the existence of God.  Sacrilege = An offense against God. It is the abuse of a person, place, or thing dedicated to God and the worship of God.  To venerate = Is to do an action that shows deep reverence for something sacred. For example, on Good Friday, individuals in the assembly venerate the cross by bowing before or kissing it.
