10 Instance Users Instance Users are those individuals that will create, administer, and facilitate models, or participate in a model, within an instance. User roles include:  Group Admin  Portfolio Creator  Participant Once the administrator has created a user profile, the user can be affiliated with a model as a participant. The model creator is, by default, a Facilitator. 10

12 Model Participants Participants are those individuals that will facilitate, rate, or review the model. Model roles include:  Owner  Voting Owner  Voter  Reviewer  Voting Reviewer Once the administrator has created a user profile, the user can be affiliated with a model as a participant. 20 Copy Decision Model 20 From the lobby, select the model to be copied. Click the drop- down menu icon located to the left of the model name. Select COPY DECISION TO NEW DECISION to continue 11 1 1

27 Lock a Decision Model: Establish Priorities & Rate Alternatives Provides a mechanism to control participant access to decisions If a model is locked, participants who have permission to access the decision will not be able to enter or change data Key Benefits:  Portfolio Managers can lock decisions individually for either Establishing Priorities or Rating Alternatives  Data and prioritized lists remain consistent in the event that a participant tries to change their input  Confidence in knowing that decisions and outcomes can be defended long after they have been completed because there have been no changes made 27

28 Lock a Decision Model: Establish Priorities & Rate Alternatives 28 From the lobby, lock participants from Establish Priorities or Rate Alternatives interface by sliding the bar from left to right. 11 If a model is locked, participants who have permission to access the decision will not be able to enter or change priorities or ratings data. If a participant is inside a model when it is locked, they will be prompted immediately of the model locking and kicked out of the model and back to the lobby screen. 1 1

30 About Data Import 30 Import data from Excel spreadsheets directly into DL3, saving time and effort Import functionality is available for:  Criteria Names  Criteria Descriptions  Alternative Names  Alternative Descriptions  Alternative Groups  Ratings Data  Resource Budget Data Data Criteria Strong/ Weak

31 Initiate Data Import 31 From the lobby, select the Import model data from spreadsheet from the drop- down menu. If the model is open, the system will notify you the model will close for the import process and all other users in the model will be locked for the duration of the import. Click YES to continue to the Data Import Utility 11 1 1

32 Select the Spreadsheet 32 Once in the Data Import Utility, click Select Spreadsheet and navigate to the worksheet which contains the data you want to import. Click NEXT to continue 11 1 1

33 Initiate Data Import 33 If the selected spreadsheet has multiple worksheets, use the dropdown to select which worksheet from which you want to import. Click NEXT to continue 11 1 1

34 Identify the Type of Data to Import 34 Select one of the radio buttons to indicate what type of data you are importing. Note that criteria and alternatives must be imported first if starting with a new model. Click NEXT to continue 11 1 1

35 Select the Data Import 35 Highlight the rows that contain the data you want to import. Note you can use SHIFT to select groups of rows, or CTRL to select multiple individual rows. ALT can be used to advanced selection options. Click NEXT to continue 11 Note: If your columns and rows are flipped-flopped, you can set them straight by clicking TRANSPOSE DATA 1 1

36 Select and Map Spreadsheet Columns 36 If you are importing alternatives, descriptions, etc., you will be asked to select and map the columns which contain the specific data in the spreadsheet to the corresponding categories in the model. Click on the column header to select. Click NEXT to continue 11 1 1

37 Preview Data 37 Review the data imported for accuracy and then click IMPORT 11 11

38 Resolve Errors 38 Decision Lens includes a data validation and reconciliation step should the data in the spreadsheet not exactly match the model (e.g. spelling, spacing, capitalization, etc.). Follow the on-screen instructions to resolve any discrepancies ?

39 Review Data The blue status bar will darken from left to right as the data is successfully imported into the system 39 Click FINISH to complete the data import 11 1 1

40 Complete an Import Once you are finished, you may continue to import data either from the same spreadsheet or another spreadsheet or launch the model 40

41 Special - Importing Ratings Data 41 If you select Ratings Data, you will be asked for which user you are importing data. Note you can also import data for a new user or all users 11 1 1

68 Ratings Assignments Decision Admins will be able to specify which individuals rate on which ratings. This capability will improve process efficiency as well as user experience with simplified navigation and targeted interaction to eliminate unnecessary clutter for workflow items not pertaining to a particular user.

Two ways to assign criteria 70 Click “Select All” box to deselect all criteria ratings. 11 Select criteria for participant to rate one by one. 22 Deselected criteria will be displayed in white. Selected criteria will be displayed in blue. Selecting a parent criteria will automatically select children criteria Must have a minimum of one criteria. 75 Ratings Assignments - Progress The rating progress column allows facilitators to view the progress of each individual participant within a model Total amount of ratings assigned Amount of ratings completed Progress of ratings for each participant is visible in orange. Facilitators can view how many total ratings each user has been assigned to rate and how many ratings they have completed. Participants that has completed ratings will show as: Completed Progress tracker does not require ratings assignments. Note: View of rating progress column sorted in ascending order
