2 Church Street | Tribeca This picture was taken from the 51 st floor of the World Trade Center. This view overlooks all of Lower Manhattan.

3 Tribeca This was also taken on the 51 st floor of the World Trade Center. If you look closely to your far right, you can see the Statue of Liberty.

4 Downtown Manhattan The crosswalk of Barclay St. and Greenwich St. in Downtown Manhattan. 7 World Trade Center is located here.

5 Upper East Side | Manhattan This is a luxury home located near Central Park and The Plaza Hotel. The Upper East Side Market averages $2,175,000 for a home such as this one.

6 The Plaza Hotel | Fifth Avenue, Midtown Manhattan The famous Plaza Hotel opened on October 1 st, 1907 and has since become one of the world’s most celebrated Hotels. It is famous for films such as Eloise (1956), The Cotton Club (1984), and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York (1992).

7 The Plaza Hotel |Midtown Manhattan In this picture is the famous Eloise telephone located in the lobby of the Plaza Hotel. When picked up and dialed, the voice of Eloise speaks to the caller. Eloise is a series of children's books written in the 1950s by Kay Thompson. Eloise is known for living on the “tippy top floor” of the Plaza Hotel with her Nanny, her dog Weenie, and her turtle Skipperdee.

8 Madison Square Garden | Manhattan, New York Madison Square Garden, commonly nicknamed “The Garden” is a famous arena located in Midtown Manhattan. It is the oldest and most active major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area. It is the home of the New York Rangers, New York Knicks, New York Liberty and St. John’s University sports teams.

9 St. John’s University | Queens, New York City This message is written across the walls on the lower level of Carnesecca Arena, reminding all of the athletes representing St. John’s that they also represent New York.

10 Greenwich Village | Manhattan, New York City While walking through Washington Square Park, I came across a group of people grabbing the attention of the public through the allure of free iced coffee. They identified themselves as Jews for Jesus, something I had only come across in New York City.

11 Greenwich Village | Manhattan, New York City Joe’s Pizza, known as the best pizza New York has to offer. Peter Parker aka Spiderman was the delivery boy for Joe’s Pizza in the Spiderman movie.

12 Alice’s Tea Cup |Manhattan, New York City Alice’s Tea Cup is an Alice In Wonderland themed restaurant. They are known as New York’s “most whimsical tea house” with over one hundred flavors of assorted teas. “This way to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”

13 Roosevelt Island |Manhattan, New York City This picture was taken on Roosevelt Island looking over Manhattan. Roosevelt Island is a narrow island located in the East River of New York City. To the West of the island is Manhattan, to the East is Queens and Long Island. It is the home of the abandoned Smallpox Hospital, where smallpox patients were taken and quarantined in the late 1800s.

14 New York City American photographer and blogger Brandon Stanton began Humans of New York in the summer of 2010. Stanton travels around New York City talking to strangers, taking their picture, and documenting their stories. He has a following of over 15 million people on social media.
