2. With God’s Little Ones’ mission is to find caring hearts to demonstrate the love of Jesus, renewing the lives of children, widows, and other disadvantaged persons.

3. The mission of Kids Against Hunger ® is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and to feed God’s starving children throughout the world. The vision of Kids Against Hunger ® is to set up food packaging satellites in the USA and around the world, and to spearhead community and youth volunteer packaging of Kids Against Hunger’s highly nutritious meals.   Since 2006, With God’s Little Ones has benefited from and served with Kids Against Hunger. In September 2008 WGLO became a “mobile unit” of the St. Charles, Missouri, Kids Against Hunger satellite.

4. A daily serving of this food of rice, soy, vegetables, and many vitamins and minerals will keep a person alive. The cost is about 23 cents a serving. This packet will serve 6 or more people for about $1.35.

6. After funds are raised for the ingredients, ($50 a carton) the equipment and ingredients are brought to any facility in the St. Louis area where volunteers gather to package the food.

7. Dried vegetables, soy protein, rice, and vegetarian flavoring containing many vitamins and minerals are measured into packets.

8. This is an excellent inter-generational event for schools, churches, youth groups, parties, etc. Young kids take the measuring and pouring of the ingredients very seriously.

9. The packets are weighed, adding or removing rice to get the weight of 390 grams. The packets are carefully heat sealed so they will have a shelf life of 3 years.

10. The cartons are packed and taped, each carton containing 36 packets of food, 216 average servings.

11. Some of the Kids Against Hunger food is loaded onto shipping containers at the Orphan Grain Train Center, St. Louis, Missouri.

12. UGANDA LIBERIA Kids Against Hunger food has been shipped from St. Louis to Uganda and Liberia in Africa

13. Here at Christ Community Lutheran School - Kawete, Uganda, about 250 kids eat Kids Against Hunger food for lunch. The sign says it all: “Hungry Child Cannot Learn.”

15. The smoke from the open fires often causes the cooks and the children to have allergies and respiratory ailments.

16. The kids devour the Kids Against Hunger food, often it is the only daily meal they get.

17. Staff receive food for one of 13 Lutheran schools in Liberia.

18. In Rancheria, Nicaragua, Kids Against Hunger food is mixed with beans and a banana.

19. With God’s Little Ones shipped 600 boxes of Kids Against Hunger food in September 2012 to the Tarahumara Indians in the mountains of Mexico. They were starving this year because of a severe drought. Here some of the food is being transported in a rickety pickup truck through the mountains.

20. Kids Against Hunger food has been distributed to St. Louis pantries and feeding centers, the Pine Ridge Sioux Reservation, and The Navajo Nation.

21. HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS Over one thousand boxes (about 235,000 meals) of Kids Against Hunger food were prepared in the St. Louis area for the earthquake victims in Haiti. These boxes were loaded on a truck bound for Jacksonville, Florida, where the U.S. Navy shipped and distributed this food in Haiti. Kids Against Hunger has been providing food to Haiti for several years due to the food crisis there even before the earthquake.
