5 Monday, May 21, 2012 Quiet Question: Type Two Prompt---Create a wallet for a British citizen to capture life on the Home front during World War One. YOU MUST HAVE FOUR DIFFERENT ITEMS! Item Column: Identification of each item…each item must address a different aspect of Home front Life. I also recommend going to Ms. Barben’s Powerpoints and printing up historical images to include under this column. YOU CANNOT USE THE TWO EXAMPLES MS. BARBEN HAS PROVIDED! – DORA – Rationing and Shortages – Censorship and Propaganda – Roles of Women – Internment of Germans (Alien Presence) – Recruitment and Conscription Detailed Historical Description: Specific historical details expanding on the item---written in first person account and reviews the main historical facts about this change. Partners should really pay close attention to the Historical Descriptions and Reasons Why and help them add more historical information. 7 Monday, May 21, 2012 Class: Students will share their “fates”. Use to introduce the group activity on the Russian Revolution. Groups/Homework: You are going to be broken up into groups of three. You will split the Stages of a Revolution Notes up amongst your group members. Then you will be responsible for finding examples for how the Russian Revolution followed this pattern by using: Person One: Conditions for a Revolution, The First Indication of Rising Discontent, and Public Dissatisfaction Person Two: Ruling Group is Intimidated, Reformers Carry Out Ideas, New Reforms Divide the Nation Person Three: Radicals Seize Power, Public Tires of Radicals, Return to Similar Government a)The Supplemental Reading to be accessed on Ms. Barben’s Teacher Page b)Ms. Barben’s Stages of the Russian Revolution Powerpoint to be accessed on her Teacher Page You will be responsible for explaining and teaching the information to your group members.
