7 Specifically in there first to second years of schooling in the New York Public school system. I experienced that these students are highly motivated to learn. Very disciplined. Have a respect for authority. Have a high regard for learning Why do students who come from other countries do better in school until they mix with New York’s finest.

8 No Child Left Behind The governments objective is to improve school’s across the entire country. Create better schools Higher standards Produce highly qualified teachers

14 Studies Say: That immigrants often have such strengths as a good education that may be masked by their low socioeconomic status. That we should be studying or learning from successful immigrant communities what they do to help their members adapt. “It’s a story of foreign-born advantage,” “The foreign-born test higher and graduate from high school at higher rates than the native-born.”
