Ben Knight C&WCVDNw 21.9.2012 The Project - Aims To help those affected by a stroke to improve their health and wellbeing by using coping and mindfulness strategies to gain control of their situation to enable a return to as normal lifestyle following a stroke with tailored strategies to boost their confidence and self esteem and thereby enhance their ability to better manage their condition. To skill key members of the workforce in the Thistle Self- Management methodology to enable further courses to be run locally and embed this into the recovery pathway reducing the need for high level psychology services and reduce the risk of readmission.
