1 Interpreting Motion Graphs
1. Calculate the slope(change in rise over change in run) of this line. 2. What does slope represent in this graph?

2 Interpreting Motion Graphs
1. What is the difference between instantaneous speed and average speed? 2. Using your graph, distinguish between instantaneous speed and average speed.

3 Speed vs. Velocity Speed is the rate at which something moves.
Velocity is the speed and direction of an object. Example: Speed of a car traveling on the I-65 is 70 mph. Velocity of the same car is it is traveling south on I-65 at 70 mph.

4 Acceleration What is acceleration? The rate at which velocity changes.
