4 Stonehenge Is located on the Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire, England. It is made up of stone, earth, and wood. It dates back from the late Stone Age to the early Bronze Age (3000 BC to 1000BC) Back to Menu Stonehenge map

7 The Leaning Tower of Pisa Located in Pisa, Italy. It started being built in 1173. It is eight stories tall, 180ft tall and the diameter for the base is 52ft. There is 294 steps in this spiraling stair case tower. Back to Menu Leaning Tower map

10 The Colosseum The Roman emperor Vespasian (ruled 69-79 A.D.) began construction on it. The Colosseum was completed by his youngest son Domitian. It is an elliptical shape, 617 ft long, 512 ft wide, and 157 ft high(three stories). It was used for gladiator battles. Back to MenuColosseum map

13 The Great Wall of China This wall was built in the 3 rd century B.C. to protect the northern boarders of China. There are two measurements of the wall: one being that it is about 1500 miles long the other one was about 4000 miles long. The wall started out being called The wall of Qin Shihuangdi then as the Ming dynasty built on it was then called The Ming Walls by the 17 th 18 th century the Europeans referred to it as Great Wall of China. 16 The Hagia Sophia Its name means Church of Holy Wisdom of God. It is a Byzantine architecture. It was made between 532 and 537. It is found in Istanbul, Turkey. Back to Menu

19 The Porcelain Tower of Nanjing It is also known as the Porcelain Pagoda of the Grand Bao'en Temple. It was built during the 15 th century, later to be destroyed between 1850 and 1864. Back to Menu Tower Map
