3  The University of Kentucky is a “Public Land- Grant Research University,” which means that it has a significant obligation to serve the Commonwealth of Kentucky through its research, teaching, and service/extension.

8 KNOW THYSELF... Are you a researcher who can teach? Are you a teacher who can research? Are you both at high level? Are you a researcher who doesn’t want to teach? Are you a teacher who doesn’t want to research? Might this be a false dichotomy?
