2 Solving the inequality You are going to solve the inequality just like you solve two step equations!! Add or subtract a number from both sides of the inequality.

3 Example 1. n – 8 < 15 + 8 + 8  add 8 to both sides + 8 + 8  add 8 to both sides n < 23 n < 23 2. -4 ≥ a + 7 -7 - 7  subtract 7 from both sides -7 - 7  subtract 7 from both sides -11 ≥ a -11 ≥ a

4 “Do we have to do the check?” Let’s check the answers to our examples! 1. n – 8 < 15  n < 23 What are some possible solutions?
