Role of Oil… Industrial Revolution…decreased dependency on coal and increase in… Oil 37% natural gas and 27% oil (world) is used in America annually. 19 million barrels of oil a day U.S. oil reserves are only 2-4% of world total. Most of the oil we consume comes from foreign sources.
