INFLUENCE What Do People Think When They See Me? Daniel Apostle Paul Joseph Barnabas Ananias & Sapphira Demas Apostle Peter Determined Blameless Converted Forgiven Benevolent Hypocrites Weak Andy ?

Daniel Daniel 1 8 But Daniel purposed in his heart [made up his mind] that he would not defile himself with the king's choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself.

Daniel Daniel 6 4 Then the commissioners and satraps began trying to find a ground of accusation against Daniel in regard to government affairs; but they could find no ground of accusation or evidence of corruption, inasmuch as he was faithful, and no negligence or corruption was to be found in him. 5 Then these men said, "We will not find any ground of accusation against this Daniel unless we find it against him with regard to the law of his God."

Jesus Mark 3 2 They were watching Him to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. Luke 14 1 It happened that when He went into the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat bread, they were watching Him closely. Luke 20 20 So they watched Him, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, in order that they might catch Him in some statement, so that they could deliver Him to the rule and the authority of the governor.

Jesus To His Disciples Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd [wise] as serpents and innocent as doves. Romans 16:19 For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. 1 Corinthians 14:20 Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; yet in evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature. Ephesians 5:15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, Philippians 2:15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.

Why Do We Need To Be Above Reproach? 2 Samuel 12 14 “However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die.” 1 Timothy 4 12 Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. 13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching… 15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all. 16 Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

Christians Must Consider How Our Actions Affect Others 1 Corinthians 10 24 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 25 Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions for conscience' sake; 26 FOR THE EARTH IS THE LORD'S, AND ALL IT CONTAINS. 27 If one of the unbelievers invites you and you want to go, eat anything that is set before you without asking questions for conscience' sake. 28 But if anyone says to you, "This is meat sacrificed to idols," do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for conscience' sake; 29 I mean not your own conscience, but the other man's; for why is my freedom judged by another's conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I slandered concerning that for which I give thanks? 31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32 Give no offense either to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God; 33 just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit but the profit of the many, so that they may be saved.

Actions And Their Affect On Others Buy a coke in a liquor store? Go to dance, but don’t dance? Romans 13 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. 1 Thessalonians 5 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form of evil.
