2 Osborne Bennet Hardison Jr.(1928-1990) The Author

3 1.He was born in San Diego, California in 1928.He was educated at University of North California and the University of Wisconsin. 2.He was poet, teacher, essayist and author of several books with subjects ranging from Aristotle, to Homer, to culture and technology in the 20th century. The author

4 3.He was a Shakespeare scholar, amateur physicist and also the director of the Folger. He originated such programs as the Folger Theater, and the Folger Consort, as well as Folger Institute. 4.He has taught at Princeton, the University of North California and Georgetown University. During his tenure at the University of North California at Chapel Hill, he was featured in Time magazine as one of the country ’ s greatest teachers.
