3 3 Introductions Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Mental Health (DHS/DMH) – Seth Harkins, EdD, Director, ICG Program The Collaborative – Sandy Potter, LCSW, Vice President, Operations, Public Sector Division – Bill White, LCSW, Collaborative Clinical Director

4 4 The Goals of the Collaborative The primary goals for the contract are to: – Assist DHS/DMH in continuing movement toward the recovery/resiliency model, including enhancing consumer and family choice and access to services – Ensure and enhance the quality and appropriateness of DHS/DMH-funded services

5 5 Role of the Collaborative The Collaborative will function under the direction and leadership of DHS/DMH The Collaborative will process and review all applications for ICG The Collaborative will review annual eligibility and reauthorization process

8 8 DHS/DMH Overview of Individual Care Grant (ICG) ICG services date back to 1967 Funding based on clinical need (consent decree) Governed by Rule 135 – Ensure access for those most in need of mental health service (“Serious mental Illness”) – Ensure that services meet standards of quality relative to state-of-the-art mental health services – Ensures that Rule 135 services are available for eligible children and adolescents Application Process (remains the same)

9 9 Illinois Based Staff Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker making decisions Trained in Rule 135 requirements Works closely with current ICG staff IT system to support current and future reporting
