1. Three Year Preliminary Budget Forecast Our goal is to continue to provide quality education for all children in the Onondaga Central School District. Purpose – outline current conditions that are impacting our draft 2012-13, 2013-14, and 2014-15 budgets. It’s still early in the process and there are many best guess estimates, i.e. state aid.

8. 2012-13 Revenue Changes Lose $ 28,165 in sales tax Lose $331,498 in the Education Jobs fund Net loss ($359,663), all else being equal. Versus 2011-12 revenue changes: Net loss ($290,204), all else being equal.

10. Next Steps Present this fiscal information to the staff. Update the Presidents of the bargaining units. OCSD staff budget work session – January 30 th. Community budget work session – February 13 th. Continue to pursue additional revenue sources, i.e. grants. Explore potential cost reductions. Continue working with the Citizens’ Budget Advisory Committee. Continue our work with the Board of Education to further develop the 2012-13 budget.
