4 Guided Practice!  I walked into my classroom this morning and the lights were on.  Observation-  the lights were on.  Inference-  I must have left them on when I left last night  The custodian must have come in and turned the lights on last night.  Another teacher came in this morning and turned on the lights.

5 Practice on your own!  Please copy the following statement on your scratch sheet of paper.  Circle the observation.  Underline the inference.  I walked outside this morning and the ground was wet. It must have rained last night.

6 Assessment- write 3 observations and 2 inferences.
