2 LIGHTS HELP SET ATMOSPHERE TENSION TIME PLACE. WITHOUT LIGHTS PRODUCING AN EFFECTIVE SHOW IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.

5 PROFILE SPOTLIGHT Lantern giving a hard edged beam of light

6 Lantern giving a soft edged beam of light FRESNEL SPOT

7 Powerful profile used to follow the actors around the stage FOLLOW SPOT

8 The whole acting area is evenly lit WASH

9 ACTING AREA IS NOT LIT BLACKOUT

10 A signal to an actor to move or speak or lights or sound to begin CUE

11 To change from one light/sound cue to Another without a blackout in between CROSSFADE
