4. Trina wants to win a goldfish at the carnival. In order for her to win, she needs to pick 2 blue tiles out of the “True Blue prize bag,” without looking. If the prize bag contains 3 blue tiles and 3 red tiles, what is the probability of winning the game? Predict the number of wins you will get in 40 trials. Then, conduct the trials and record the outcomes.

5. Decimal Digit Cover-Up The game board is one whole, 1.00. The strips are worth ten hundredths or one tenth, 0.10; they cover 10 squares on the game board. The small squares are worth one hundredth, 0.01; they cover one square on the game board. Roll the die on your turn and decide if you will use tenths or hundredths on your board. The goal is to cover the whole game board with tenths and hundredths without going over the edge without any overlaps. Each player has seven turns. You must take all seven turns. The person who comes closest to covering the whole game board wins.

6. Farmer John Before planting the Spring crops, Farmer John needs to determine how many acres will be allocated for his vegetables. He decides to plant 5% of the area with onions, 20% with tomatoes, 25% with egg plant, 25% with corn, and 25% with carrots. The number of acres for each crop must be whole numbers. Help John determine the minimum number of acres that will be planted and the acreage allotted to each vegetable. Onions= tan Corn= yellow Tomatoes = red Carrots= orange Egg plant = purple John must also consider that different plants have different space requirements. 12.  The goal of the game is to be the first player to reach 100.  On your turn, roll the dice as many times as you would like, mentally keeping a running total of the sum. When you decide to stop rolling, record your total for that turn and add it to the total from any previous turns.  If a 1 comes up on one of the dice, your turn is over and you score 0 points for that round. If you roll a 1 on both dice, you lose your turn and ALL points.

For example, if you roll a 4, you must decide if you would like 4 or 40 points.  Pass the die to the next player who also rolls once and decides how many points.  After each turn, add your points.  Play 7 rounds (you must play all rounds)  The player who is closest to 100 (above or below) after 7 rounds wins!
