1. “We’re In This Together” Philippians 1:3-11 August 2, 2009

2. I. This partnership strengthens our relationships. We have thankfulness for every remembrance of you. – Remember reasons that cause us to be thankful. – It is gratifying to know others are remembering us.

3. I. This partnership strengthens our relationships. We have joy in our prayers because of the partnership. – This is a fellowship with God and others. – This is an enduring relationship. We have confidence because Christ is at work. – He has begun a work in us. – He will continue to work toward completion.

4. II. This partnership strengthens our prayers We pray for a deeper love among us. – That we might have more love for God. Matthew 22:36-37, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” – That we might have more love for each other. John 13:34-35, “You must love one another.” 1 John 4:19-21, “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar.”

5. II. This partnership strengthens our prayers We pray for a deeper holiness among us. – That we might discern what is best. Make the right decisions Discernment leads to purity in our lives. – That we may be pure and blameless. Ephesians 5:25-27, “…as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to maker her holy…without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.”

6. II. This partnership strengthens our prayers We pray for a deeper relationship with Jesus. – That we might be filled with the fruit of righteousness. Through a right relationship with Christ. Result of justification and grace – So that we might glorify God. The fruit we bear is to glorify God. Our relationship is a testimony to His power
