18 Promising Programs Weather Service Offices (WFOs): ! Dallas- Ft. Worth Collaborative Aviation Forecast Study (DCAFS) ! Airport Specific TAF Amendment Criteria (ASTAC) Center Weather Service Units (CWSUs): ! New equipment ( RTA Replacement) to provide FAA personnel with more accurate information ! Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Needs Document - FAA and NWS forming a Team to address the goals - Future NWS products for Air Route Traffic Control Center traffic managers - Involvement from other NOAA agencies, such as FSL - Could change products for the terminal area that would be available for the aviation community.

19 NWS Development Activities Summary NWS response to clients and users: ! The National Weather Service has delivered research products into an operational environment ( CCFP, NCWF, ADDS). ! Aviation weather products are now readily available on AWC Homepage, ADDS, and CDMNet. ! Activities are underway to improve terminal forecasts and services to the ARTCCs ! Continuing success depends on collaboration, partnership, and resources.
