An interdisciplinary foundation program should be incorporated common to all MD/MS study program. This period should be best utilized by every student with maximu m productivity in terms of knowledge and skills. The problem is more pronounced for in -service students who after their clinical career often grapple while acclimatizing with the new academic ambience Past experiences suggest that most of the students find it difficult to acquire the relevant skills relating to Bio-statistics, Research proposal submission, seminar presentation, ethical regulation The three-year MD/MS study is a crucial phase of Medical career Why the NEED? Description The purpose of this proposed program is to build appropriate skills among the existing faculty of the medical college so that they could act as resource persons in the interdisciplinary foundation program for postgraduate students Design and Implementation of a Foundation Program towards Fostering Appropriate Skill and Knowledge among MD/MS Students Framework Design Program Course FOUNDATION PROGRAM CORE TEAM Identifying Core skills Selecting Resource Persons Design Faculty Training Program Faculty skill Building FACULTY NEEDS ASSESSMENT STUDENTS’ NEEDS ASSESSMENT Program Components
