1 Using MS Photo Editor

2 Crop an image Click Select on the Standard toolbar, and then drag over the area of the image you want to keep. On the Image menu, click Crop. Select the options you want.

3 Create transparent areas in an image In a Web page, the transparent area will have the color of the background. On the Standard toolbar, click Set Transparent Color. Position the tool over the color you want to make transparent, and click. The Change Color to Transparent dialog box appears. The preview window shows the color that will change to transparent when you click OK. You can modify the options to increase the range of colors that will become transparent or to change the degree of transparency.

4 Resize an image On the Image menu, click Resize. Enter the new width or height, or the percentage of the original. Select the other options you want to apply.

5 Fade out the colour of an image On the Image menu, click Balance. Drag the slider on the Brightness to the right and then the slider on the Gamma. Check if the colour satisfies your need.
