4 YSP (cont’d)  Received Collective Impact Grant for $8500 ($5000 for Coach, $3500 for startup)  Our Impact Statement By 2020, we will increase developmental assets by 10% for Leeds-Grenville youth at the transition periods of; elementary school to intermediate school, intermediate school to secondary school, secondary school to school or work.

5 CI Grant Builds on work currently being done: o Developmental Assets o Family Support/Engagement (Triple P) o Coordination of Services (Hubs) o Youth Engagement (Municipal Indicators, YES)

6 Short term Activities  Hire our coach (completed)  Identify the gaps that are worth our additional efforts – these become our “Theory of Change”  Define our measures  Planning Day July 6 with coach

7 Youth Engagement Squad Chairs: Mariana Aitken Connect Youth, Rebecca Shams Health Unit  Area squads: Gananoque, Brockville, Prescott, Kemptville  Youth ambassadors and “Adult allies” meet monthly to share ideas and activities  Area newsletters, Facebook page, School and community activities/clubs/events, volunteer work/social change, Summer celebration day

8 Mental Health Initiative Tri County in Scope Chair: Kevin Kapler Formed to bring together service providers involved in providing mental health support/services to youth. Initial focus on information sharing

9 Mental Health Initiative (cont’d)  Developed indicators for youth friendly communities (based on Developmental Assets) to share with municipal councils.
