3 Why MURLLO? – a viewpoint eLanguages – Funded by UKeU (03-05) to produce English for Academic Purposes RLOs –1500 RLOs/GLOs stored in CLARe (Contextualised Learning Activity REpository) –Re-purposing by keeping learning design and replacing content: How to store relationships? How to store details of context of use? –Efficient resource discovery: RLLOMAP etc may not be sufficient –Managing copyright of assets and RLOs –Currently licensing to UK/Eire HEIs, British Council India etc. How to develop business models for selection, licensing and exporting of collections –Pedagogically sound re-use and re-purposing

5 Project description Using an RLO on proofreading as an exemplification to illustrate how research into metadata and business models can encourage the use of content by supporting the development of pedagogically sound re-use and re-purposing of RLOs that will add value to the education community
