4. When does reflection occur? Reflecting on reading can occur during and after reading. A reader may stop to make a note about a character’s action or an event that occurred. A reader may reflect on what was just read and jot down important plot events in their reading log.

5. Reflecting on Reading Readers may also participate in or complete one of the following to reflect on what has been read: – Small group discussion – Literature circles – Reading log or reflection journal

6. Reading log Can be informal or formal Include thoughts that occur while reading or after.
