Decide on the role of the unit by considering institutional needs MISSION STATEMENT Identify the needs of the teachers by considering their profiles with the help of needs analysis questionnaires, observations, feedback, appraisals NEEDS

6 IDENTIFICATION OF AIMS CONTEXT/ROLE OF UNIT MEMBERS
Set clear, specific, achievable, meaningful and realistic goals (in parallel with the mission of the institution/TDU) IDENTIFICATION OF AIMS Set a positive atmosphere-mutual respect, collaboration, cooperation should be emphasised CONTEXT/ROLE OF UNIT MEMBERS Decide who is going to run the unit (trainers) and what the roles and qualities of the members will be

Decide on what path you are going to follow, what kind of activities you will include in the training/development programme PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION Decide on how you are going to introduce and implement these activities

Establish and maintain clear and honest communication between unit members & teachers Train the unit members on conflict resolution

10 Provide continuous and constructive feedback. Monitor closely
EVALUATION Receive feedback from teachers (formally/informally) Prepare an action plan Take action

11 Make necessary changes/modifications to the programme
