Used to protect interests of University, College, Center, Department and Investigator. Provides necessary authorization for submission of proposals

Provides necessary certifications -Required by the Sponsor and University -Protects the University -Protects the PIs and departments Data collection Provides mechanism by which all interested University offices are made aware of sponsored projects related activities
