They agreed it was cultural speech, but wanted to see how much protection it should get. They disagreed on if the shirt was political or cultural speech.

If there is a good reason to believe that a type of speech in school is disruptive, the school can ban that speech. Schools can’t limit speech because it is protected by 1 st amend. Students do not have freedom of speech in school.
