17 Recovering Files from OneDrive
OneDrive provides two methods of restoring deleted files. When you right-click a file or folder and select Delete from the context menu, a message box appears, indicating that the delete is in progress. This box includes an Undo button, and it remains on the screen for approximately ten seconds, enabling you to abort the delete, if you prefer. © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Once the file or folder is deleted, OneDrive moves it to the Recycle Bin folder. You can view your deleted files and folders by clicking the Recycle Bin link. To restore files or folders in the Recycle Bin, you select their checkboxes, right-click, and choose Restore from the context menu. OneDrive retains the files and folders in its Recycle Bin for up to 30 days, after which it begins permanently deleting the oldest ones. If, however, your available OneDrive storage space reaches 10 percent, the system begins deleting files and folders, regardless of their ages. © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
