2.  Alexander High School  Alexander High School Musical Cast  Students were between the ages of 14-18  60 Cast members  Very hard working students that spend 12 hours a week working towards the 4 performances.  16 hours of observation

3.  Assisted in teaching lifts and helped choreograph dances.  Coming up with lift ideas.  Demonstrating and assisting in lifts.  Act as a spotter.  Finding smooth transitions the other choreography.

4.  Extrinsic Motivation  Doing an activity to receive an award that has nothing to do with the activity.  Intrinsic Motivation  Motivated by the knowledge they will gain instead of material possessions.

5.  The degree to which people feel they are prepared to handle certain tasks.  Confidence and belief they are capable of doing the lifts.  Encouragement is required for the males.

6.  What type of motivation worked best?  Intrinsic because they were eager to learn and better themselves so they could put on a great performance.  Very hard working students that spend 12 hours a week working towards the 4 performances.  Working with Mark and the rest of the males.  Help to find their strengths and what worked for them.

7.  Motivation and Confidence are very important in dance. Having an end result of the season and the performances helps push the students to get everything finished and clean.  Motivate the students to do the difficult and dangerous lifts.

8.  By the end of the 16 hours, students felt confident and excited about the upcoming performance.  Encouragement and motivation are key to effectively learning and cleaning the lifts.
