3 TC100 legacy system TC100 has been making standards for the legacy system, these standards include some standards regarding network or IP protocol. Now and the future, integrated network system and related equipment and systems are important items of TC100. Also, PC hardware or architecture becomes important factor of TC100 system.

11 Standardization items What TC100 standardizes are, Whole things after the gateway in home, car and mobile including border item of gateway between network and TC100 system. e.g. PT 62608: Multimedia systems and equipment - Multimedia home network configuration - Basic reference model Significant items Equipment and systems including network or IP protocol IPTV Internet TV Equipment and systems including PC hardware or architecture PC itself is a matter, because it becomes audio, video and multimedia equipment

12 Category of standardization organizations TC100 considers the following categorization IEC/TC100 Audio, video and multimedia related applications for end user networks ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 25 In home cabling (Ethernet) and Home automation and control related applications ITU-T Network issues outside of home gateway

13 Observation of possible standardization items For IPTV Receiver specification (TA1) IPTV frontend specification - Frontend may include a similar items to the legacy frontend of hardware parameters. Frontend may contain PC hardware or architecture Network inside TC100 (TA9) Network items Video and audio quality (TA11) Lip-sync, audio video quality - Assessment of quality that is specific to TC100 including AV sync (lip-sync), video quality, etc. Network includes border items (TC100) Control, QoS - e.g. PT 62608: network configuration Security, Accessibility (TC100) Network security, User interface
