3 The Origins and Development of the Theatre in Poland. Theatre on the Polish territory for the first time appears only in the Middle Ages. As the vast majority of the art at the time, the theatre developed mostly towards religion. The oldest art have been found in Krakow, were processio in Ramis Palmarum (from XIII century). They were of a liturgical dramas. At the end of the Middle Ages can be seen moving away from the liturgical, devotional stage productions in the elegiac comedy. Its popularity exploded in the early Renaissance and it was appreciated especially among the elite. The Renaissance is, above all, the development of the old Polish theater and exhibition were mostly Mikolaj Rej and Jan Kochanowski. Polish real catalyst for the emergence of the theater turned out to be the country itinerant English (including arts Shakespeare) and Italian (commedia dellarte) theaters. Thanks to them, the courts, the first stage being built on the model of the Italian (the first was in 1637, built on the orders of King Władysław IV Vasa). After the loss of independence performances were subjected to censorship, and most functioned only in the form of dramas (including Forefathers, Mickiewicz) After the war, the most outstanding Polish playwright Stanislaw Wyspianski began staging of these works, and the lack of censorship, allowed the operation of up to 32 major theaters across the country. After World War II, communism tried to limit the staging of the classics (most tragic example is the March of 1968, when Kazimierz Dejmek staged Forefathers). After the collapse of the Soviet Union Poland went through several prominent playwrights and theater directors, the award-winning Lupa, Warlikowski, Klata and brambles at the helm.

4 PROMINENT POLISH Theatre Performers "The world's a stage, actors, people, Who in turn come and go.” William Shakespeare Acting theatrical convention is one of the art of acting. Its main feature is the realization that a live performance in the presence of the viewer and ensemble. In the scene the actor playing a role without a break, and so it must not be able to complete all the mistakes trying to set the task of acting. An actor is a person whose job is to put yourself in the form of a created a scenario and play it in a credible, persuasive and interesting, so that viewers have identified it with the character played. Playing in the art of the actor needs to call in the receivers expected emotions, he can not leave them indifferent.
