pH Scale What is pH?

pH pH means “ pondus hydrogenii” or the potential for hydrogen.
The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14 where 0 is the pH of very strong acids and 14 is the pH of very strong bases 7 is a neutral solution neither acidic or basic H+ = OH- ions

pH scale range from 0 to 14 more acidic = lower number
more basic = higher number Acids and Bases stronger acid stronger base
